WE 2.3: Fostering Transparency and Authenticity
Reflect & Respond
1. Think back to your last team meeting. If WE asked your team how authentic and transparent you were, what would they say — and what evidence would they point to?
2. Recall a time when you had the chance to be vulnerable or admit uncertainty with your team. Did you take it? Why or why not?
3. If you asked your team, “What’s one way I could be more authentic as a leader?” what do you think they’d say?
4. Capture one small but meaningful way you will practice intentional transparency and authenticity with your team this week — what you’ll do, and exactly when you’ll do it.
WE 2.2: Modeling Behavior to Inspire Teams
Reflect & Respond
1. Name the top two or three WEs you feel your team is most closely connected to and living.
2. For each WE, give yourself a 1–10 score for how consistently you model it — and remember, your team is scoring you every day whether you realize it or not.
3. Look at your highest-scoring behavior. Is there a moment in the past month when you set the example, living that WE? What happened, and what did your team see in that moment?
4. Capture one daily habit or practice that will make this behavior impossible for your team to miss — something they could point to and say, “That’s the standard WE live by!”
WE 2.1: The Leadership Gap and Accountability
Reflect & Respond
1. Can you think of a time when you expected a behavior or attitude of your team but didn’t necessarily fully live it yourself? Where was the gap between your expectations and your example?
2. If your team mirrored your behavior from the past week — your punctuality, communication, follow-up, and attitude — would the team be closer to excellence? Further? Why?
3. Identify one behavior you’d like to see more of from your team. How clearly are you living that behavior right now?
4. Capture one intentional change you will make this week to close the gap between the standard you set and the example you live.
WE 2.0: WE Lead By Example
Reflect & Respond
1. Recall a time when you consciously chose to lead by an example you would be proud to see replicated. Especially if it may not have come naturally, but you knew it was the right thing. What behavior did you model? Did your example have an impact on others?
2. Are there certain situations or scenarios where leading by example just seems to happen naturally for you - without needing to remind yourself of the importance of WE 2?
3. Are there similarities or differences among the two situations above? Are there patterns or elements that make leading by example feel more natural?
WE 1.4: Integrity and Psychological Safety
Reflect & Respond
1. Recall a time when your integrity was clearly visible to others. What did you do, and how did it impact the people around you?
2. In your current work environment, do team members feel safe telling you the truth? Do you feel safe sharing difficult news with your leader? Why or why not?
3. Identify a scenario or routine where you could be more intentional about demonstrating integrity in your daily interactions. What does it look like in action?
4. Capture one specific action you will take this week to empower others to feel safe to speak up or share difficult feedback.
WE 1.3: Navigating Ethical Challenges in Leadership
Reflect & Respond
1. Recall a time when you or someone else rationalized taking the easier path instead of doing the right thing. How did they (or you) justify that choice?
2. What short-term benefits came from that decision? And were there long-term consequences for trust, relationships, or results?
3. If you could go back in time, what specific steps could have been taken to recognize and choose the right path instead?
4. Capture two powerful questions to serve as reminders in moments when you may feel tempted to rationalize: one that helps you pause, and one that helps you see the right path forward.
